Haverford Celebrates 30th Annual Township Day

HAVERTOWN, Pa. – Haverford Township hosted its annual celebration on Saturday, October 4, 2025. The day event, which takes place every first Saturday of October, is a popular festival drawing thousands of people from all over Delaware County.

The township closed much of Darby Road, one of its main corridors, and Brookline Boulevard, to host the event. Official proceedings began with the Haverford Township Day 5K run and then a parade that started at Manoa Shopping Center and stretched over a mile to its end near the Township building. Participants included local emergency services, school districts, and various community organizations from Haverford and neighboring townships.

The street festival provided live musical entertainment across multiple stages, including a concert from the Haverford High School orchestra at the Brookline Fire House. The event also incorporated a large-scale vendor area, hosting local businesses, non-profit organizations, and a craft and flea market. Throughout the afternoon, activities for family engagement were offered, such as children’s amusement rides, performance artists, and free ice skating at The Skatium. The celebration concluded late afternoon, cementing its status as a vital community tradition coordinated by the Township Recreation Department.
