Due to the recent wildfires Canada, the air quality conditions in Delaware County reached hazardous levels on multiple days during the past week, but most residents are safe to resume outdoor activity. Sensitive groups like people with heart or lung disease, older adults, and children should consider choosing less strenuous activities and shortening the amount of time they are active outdoors.
Residents can stay up to date via the Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission’s Air Quality Partnership at www.airqualitypartnership.org.
Residents can also check current air quality monitor readings, displayed with an easy to understand graphic (see image above), at www.airnow.gov.
