No matter where you turn, style and fashion are all around you at DCCC -- from our comfortable jeans, sweatpants, T-shirts, hoodies and sneakers, to our flirty form-fitting dresses, decent button-down shirts, and killer shoes. Style is one thing that can define a person’s individuality but at DCCC, it defines the campus too.

Students are defined by more than just their majors; their personalities shines through with the help of individual accessories, hairstyles, and interesting fashions.

Just because DCCC is a community college does not mean that its students, staff, activities, or fashions have any less panache than those of bigger schools.

Anybody walking around the DCCC campus could not help but notice that there is more than one style sported by the students here. But if you were to walk around a large university campus, the massive student body and spread of buildings would make it harder for a stylish individual to stand out.

Student Lauren Aeten said that she likes DCCC because you can easily see a person’s individual style and the diversity of her fellow classmates’ styles compared to a campus such as Temple or West Chester.

Aeten said leather jackets, boots, and Chuck Taylors stood out on the campus.

Maurice Cane, another student, said some original styles he noticed were “tight jeans, form fitting jackets, and Chucks.”

Cane also felt that DCCC’s campus style was much different than that at universities. Universities are more casual while DCCC has more of an everyday look, Cane added.

Iconic 20th century fashion designer Coco Chanel once said, “Fashion is not something that exists in dresses only. Fashion is in the sky, in the street, fashion has to do with ideas, the way we live, and what is happening.”

At DCCC our style is what defines our fashion, and our fashion is what defines our individuality, and makes our campus a stylish community.
